Passsteinpresse PSP is a press for variable element sizes. It is used for pre-assembled brickwork. Up to now, when building walls, already tempered standard formats had to be sawn up again in order to obtain the additional elements in the required forms and shapes. With PSP, this is no longer necessary. The blocks can be manufactured immediately as are required. This means no waste, as there is no additional sawing necessary anymore, but also better utilisation of raw material and energy.

With the damped concrete end hose, the “whipping from side to side” which can happen in the event of uncontrolled pressure changes during the application of concrete gets eliminated nearly entirely. With this innovation, Putzmeister adds enormously to increasing the safety on construction sites.

The innovation of Bilfinger Berger helps to further develop large-scale bridge constructions internationally. They developped an efficient logistics and machinery concept enabling to produce precast bridge elements just in time and also lowering them onto the piers just in time. All this, without disturbing the traffic in the slightest.

High-rise concrete conveying at Burij Dubai

Putzmeister managed to invent a high-rise concrete pump which they applied in the construction of Burj Dubai, the future highest building in the world located in Dubai. With this pump, it is possible to transport concrete more than six hundred meters high.

Image-based rating procedures for fair faced concrete
Dresden University of Technology
The Dresden University of Technology developped a universally applicable and mobile system for fast objective characterization and quality control of surfaces for unset and set concrete. With the help of a special visualisation software, the results are being displayed on screen. Applying this method, it is also possible to extrapolate determining parameters which cannot be accessed analytically.

Wheeled loader generation 6
Liebherr-werk Bischofshofen GmbH
The prize was awarded for the Corporate Design which was applied for the first time with the new 6th generation wheel loaders. This design, according to the jury, gives the machines a powerful look by making, at the same time, its technical advantages visible and distinguishing it clearly from its competitors.
