bauma

bauma is the world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment. With a total exhibition space of more than 605,000 square meters, bauma is the largest trade show in the world.
In 2016 bauma attracted a total of 3,423 exhibitors from 57 countries, and 583,736 visitors from around 200 countries. bauma takes place every three years in Munich; the dates for the next edition are April 8 to 14, 2019.
VDMA

The VDMA represents more than 3,200 member companies in the SME-dominated mechanical and systems engineering industry in Germany and Europe. The mechanical and plant engineering sector is Germany’s largest employer with 1,35 million employees, and it is the backbone of the German economy.
Manufacturers of construction equipment, building material plants and mining equipment are organized in special industry networks and are represented by two special associations in the VDMA. They have more than 440 member companies. VDMA is the conceptual sponsor of bauma.
Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (HDB)

The Association represents the interests of the German construction industry vis-à-vis legislative bodies, governments and administration.
Zentralverband des Deutschen Baugewerbes (ZDB)

The Association represents the interests of the German construction trade companies. It is an economic, employer-oriented and technical association.

Bundesverband Baustoffe - Steine und Erden (BBS)

The German Building Materials Association (bbs) represents the business and industrial interests of 16 sub-sectors and around 4,000 companies. The German building materials industry generates an annual turnover of about 32 billion Euro.
