The project “Construction site 4.0 with the help of AR and BIM” brings an entirely new holography technology to the construction site. The use of BIM data, shown by means of mixed reality data glasses as 3D models overlaying the actual site, offers benefits of many kinds for contractors, OEMs, architects, designers and most of all for machine operators. With the technology, virtual 3D building models, information like access roads, hazard zones and storage areas, quantity and cost data, and other information can be shown superimposed on actual objects using mixed reality devices like the Holo-Lens. This gives operators and site planners all the important construction site information at a glance, without having to look through a sheaf of individual plans.
